Oak Study

"What could you fit in that space?" my customer asked.

Well, let's see...

This small alcove now contains a custom-built study with four tall open bookcases, four enclosed cupboards with shelves and an integral leather-topped kneehole desk, all sized precisely to keep everything in proportion.  There is enclosed storage for files, paper, a shredder and a printer on a slide-out tray. Integral power supply, keyboard drawer and cable routes allow use of a desktop or any other device.  It's a complete modern office inside a classical study.

The beautifully restored Georgian period property deserved something in keeping with its distinctive style, so I designed cornices, skirtings and door mouldings to complement the house, including a panelled hood over the desk area to increase the feeling of being encapsulated in a warm wooden world.

If this would be just the thing for you, please get in touch.
