Dougal has been busy!

Detail view of mantel arch over cooker area

This shot shows a detail of the latest project designed, made and fitted entirely by Dougal Black Carpentry; an imposing fully-fitted kitchen made from European oak.  Behind elegant raised panel doors in a hard-wearing clear lacquer and wax finish, the design incorporates convenient pull-out larder storage, integrated dishwasher, pan drawers and a hidden recycling unit, all with soft-closing drawers and doors.  Highlights include the traditional plate rack with its sixty turned spindles, the intricately jointed wine rack and the tall arched mantel supported on solid oak pillars.

"My customers are very happy with the result and kindly offered me the opportunity to have the room professionally photographed" says Dougal.  "It's just as well I enjoy my work," he laughs, "we've never been so busy!"

Dear Dougal, we thought you might like to see a photo of the bookcases with books upon them and therefore attach one. We are very pleased with the result and friends are already impressed. One friend from Cambridge commented that the bookcases made the room look like one in a National Trust property! Be assured, we shall make sure people know who made the shelves - and if we need more work at the house we shall be in touch..... Thanks again for doing such an excellent job.
