Oak Library

This private library in a Scottish country house is designed and made by Dougal Black Carpentry from American oak with detailing and proportions redolent of an early Victorian style.  Fluted columns, dentils and deep panel mouldings are among the architectural features in this unique room, centred around a cast-iron fireplace.

It incorporates a hidden bar and has lots of shelf space created specifically for the owner's collection of antique manuscripts and books.

Please get in touch if you would like to have something similar made specifically for you.
